Whoa, we didn’t have any questions of the day in like… well over a month I guess! So, let’s have one today, the first one I’m writing from my MacBook, yay! 🙂
What’s one food everybody likes that you hate?
My answer:
Marshmallows! Any kind of foamy candy really. Here in Poland we have a type of marshmallow called Ptasie Mleczko (it translates to Bird’s Milk, in case you’re curious) which is a marshmallow covered in chocolate, and they came in various flavours. It’s quite a classic Polish candy and all generations love it, foreigners also tend to love it and I guess it’s one of the most widely recognised Polish sweets. Well, I think it’s yuck. And some flavours are double-yuck. I don’t like the marshmallows that are a bit more solid on the outside in texture either. I don’t think I know anyone else who doesn’t like them, or if I do I’m just not aware. 😀

Oh, I’d think most people hate celery! 😀 I really like it, but only raw, and especially with a good dip to go with it, but I know loads of people who hate it.

Oh boy, questions of the day!!
Oh wow, I can see marshmallows creating a texture issue! I’m like that with mushy foods: bananas, pudding, oatmeal (I make mine really dry, but I know no one else does), apple sauce, etc. (Even though I can eat chocolate or apples–not that I love apples.) I hate cheese. My dad says I can eat it with pizza because the tomato sauce changes its taste. He must be right about that!! 😮

Wow, I don’t think I know anyone else who hates cheese, that’s interesting! But it makes sense given that you don’t like dairy in general.

Shellfish of any sort. Most people around me love shrimp, crab and such. I cannot stand the chewy, salty, sandy/gritty taste, no matter how much butter I soak it in.

I haven’t had a lot of shellfish in my life but the few times I had it I really liked it, though I can totally see how someone can hate it.

I hate tomatoes and onions, but people put them in everything!

Even though I like both, I agree that sometimes people put them in dishes where they totally don’t fit.

There are a ton of foods everyone seems to like but I don’t. Apparently I’m a picky eater, lol! I don’t do raw veggies or salads, sushi, hummus, bananas… I don’t even like chocolate cake or ice cream, LOL! I don’t eat whole tomatoes, but I will eat pizza/pasta sauce, but I don’t really love pasta and only rarely eat it maybe 1-2 times a year. I don’t like mac & cheese or jalapeno anything….. I mean… the list goes on and on, LOL!
On the other hand, I will eat things that many people won’t. I love avocados, shellfish, bison, venison, squid. So, I’m not a picky eater, I just have exotic tastes! LOL!

Haha yeah, that really looks more like an exotic taste than just pickiness to me. 😀 I’m also in hate sushi and bananas camp, and I don’t like all ice cream just because it’s ice cream, It has to be really good ice cream for me to like it.
