Hi people! 🙂
For today, I decided to share with you a piece from Norwegian singer Ragnhild Harket, who participated in The Voice Norway in 2017. This is one of the songs she sung in this competition. I can’t recall ever hearing the original version, although it’s entirely possible I did somewhere and just never paid the attention to it, but it seems that it’s originally performed by Jarred James.
Hi people! 🙂
I’ve shared a lot of folk and Celtic music with you lately, so today, for a change, let’s listen to this young Dutch singer. Pleun (or Pleun Bierbooms) was the winner of the 7th season of The Voice of Holland. I do think she is really good. This is her cover of Sam Smith’s “Writings On The Wall”, which, in its original version, was featured in The Spectre – a James Bond film. – I think I like her version more.
Hi people. 🙂
Today I have another sort of mainstream-ish song. Or actually, the song is mainstream and popular and all, but the singer seems to be just beginning, as she was a contestant in the Norwegian edition of “The Voice”, and sung this song in that show. I am not a particular fan of Beyonce, as this song was originally performed by her, and I’m not crazy about the song either, but I think Andrea’s version is quite powerful, tough even, I’d say. And that’s an interesting cover to hear.
