Song of the day – Candelas – Colli Cwsg (lose sleep).

Hi!

Here’s the last song of my three most favourite songs by Candelas.

The title “Colli Cwsg” can mean “sleep loss”, but in the context it would rather mean “lose sleep”. I like this track more and more. Hope you will like it too. The album version of this song doesn’t exist on YT either, but there is another version which I think I like as much or maybe even a bit more than the album one, so I picked this one, especially that not everyone has to have Spotify:

Song of the day – Candelas ft. Alys Williams – Llwytha’r Gwn (Load the gun).

Hi! 🙂

This will be the second of my three favourite Candelas songs I want to show you. I absolutely love it, mostly because of Alys Williams who is featured in this song.

It took me a lot of time to figure out who is this woman with such a powerful voice, because Candelas consists only of guys and I listened to this song on Spotify where she weren’t mentioned as performer. It was hard with my very poor Welsh skills back then to find out who she is, but I did it.

Unfortunately, although Alys is a very active artist, she didn’t release any albums yet, but she featured many artists and made rock, electronic and hip hop music with them. She participated in The Voice UK a few years ago and I think it’s really weird she didn’t win, because in my opinion she was the best in her edition.

I rally love the expression in her voice and how feminine but at the same strong and a bit hoarse her voice is. It’s a pity that the album version is again only on Spotify so people who don’t have Spotify wouldn’t be able to listen to her solo, but I don’t think I can do anything with it as when I type a timestamp in URL, it doesn’t work, so I put it as usual. :/

Song of the day – Candelas – Anifail (Animal).

Hi! ::)

In the next few days I want to show you my three favourite songs from the band called Candelas. They’re very popular now in their musical environment, so on the Welsh language music scene. It’s a rock, kind of alternative rock band.

The first song of my favourites I want to show you is called “Anifail”, so “animal” in English and is so cool. I loved it immediately when I heard it for the first time, which was about a year ago, and still listen to it pretty often and like it really really much.

Hope you’ll like it too.
