Just very quickly and for the last time, about the passworded posts thing. If you’d like to get the password to my protected posts, just let me know via contact page, and then I’ll give it to you, as long as I know you at least a bit and consider you trustworthy of course. 🙂
I wanted to send you my Christmas wishes already yesterday, after sharing Enya’s beautiful Christmas song with you and before our Christmas Eve dinner, but it seemed like all the people in my area decided they’d rather spend Christmas Eve sitting with their smartphones or computers or whatever and overload the connection, because the Internet was just so slow I couldn’t do virtually anything without waiting like 5 minutes for a single thing to open or be done. And since then I’ve been of course mostly with my family, so I’m sorry that my wishes are a bit belated, but I didn’t want to write them in a hurry and I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas anyway.
So, I’m wishing all of you – those who celebrate Christmas, those who don’t celebrate Christmas, those who celebrate whatever else, those who celebrate Christ’s birth or just being with their families and having lots of food and exchanging presents, all of you – lots of peace in your minds and hearts, as well as lots of hope. May you have many kind and caring people around you with whom you don’t feel lonely but who make you feel loved and accepted, or if you don’t have any people around you, may you not feel alone. Have lots of yummy food to eat and enjoyable things to do, and may it be a very happy time for you. And may at least one of your dreams, even the smallest, come true. And for those of you who are Christians, please, in all the festivities, don’t forget what the true nature of this holiday is, and don’t let it be something secondary and of less importance than anything else. Oh, wishing you some snow as well, if you want it, we did have some at Christmas Eve and it was quite a surprise.
So these are my wishes to you.
How is your Christmas going so far? 🙂
Hi people! 🙂
So now as my blog is public again, I’d like to say it once again to those who didn’t read my blog while it was private. Although I am now public, I decided that I am going to protect some more personal posts with a password.
If you’d like to access them, feel free to Contact me. and then I will decide whether I will give it to you or not. That’s it for now. 🙂
I’d just like to tell you I’m most probably going to make my blog public again soon. I will protect some more personal posts with a password though. It’s going to be the same for all posts, and if you’d like me to send it to you, just let me know in the comments of this or any other post on here and give me your email address, or email me at jackie . ysbiwr @ gmail . com. I might send it to some of you whose emails I already have later on, but if you won’t get it from me, feel free to contact me. I am also hoping to finally make a contact form on my blog so you can reach me via it too.
Wanted to let you know guys I’m going away tomorrow, will be back late in the evening, but most probably will not be online at all. I’m going with Mum and Zofijka for a pilgrimage. It’s organised by my gramma, there are also lots of other people going and we are going there in a touring car. The place where we’re going to is called Obory, which is a very funny name because it literally means Cowsheds in Polish. I don’t think though it has much to do with cows, there is a sanctuary and we’re going there, having a sort of day for prayer and some spiritual growth. I am a bit anxious about that because I hate being away from home even for a day, and there will be so many people around me, but I am also very curious and actually I think I am looking forward to it, because I feel it might help me to settle again after what happened to me recently, I still feel sort of out of tune after that.
So I hope you’ll be all having a great day tomorrow, and I’ll be leaving you with two posts that I’ve scheduled for tomorrow, they’re the usual song of the day and question of the day posts and they’ll be published early in the morning my time.
Will get back to ya on Thursday. 🙂 Oh yeah, and I’m going horse riding on Thursday, it’s gonna be great!
Hey guys. 🙂
Wanted to quickly notify you about one thing.
I am most probably going to make this blog private. It is just what I feel I need to do, to have some more control, over who is able to see my scribbles. I’ll do this tomorrow, and when I’ll figure it out, I’ll be sending invitations to you my readers so that you can access my blog, although you can also request an invite when the site is already private, or email me at jackie . ysbiwr @ gmail . com (without spaces of course 😀 ), or in the comments, if you want to be included. I’m going to give the access only to those whom I already know either because they’ve been commenting or from their own blogs, and only those whom I feel I can trust.
Hope you’ll understand and stick with me. 🙂
Is there anything you’d like to ask me? 🙂
Hey guys! 🙂
I’m sorry if this post looks weird like has odd typos or is not formatted as it should or whatever – blame my trashy, 11-year-old Braille-Sense, not me! 😀 Though I hope it’ll look just fine, and I guess I shouldn’t complain about my Braille-Sense because it’s the only thing I’m left with now.
I’m popping in for a while just to tell you I screwed my computer, then the IT specialist came and saved me – and screwed my screen-reader, or the sound, or whatever, I dunno! whatever it was, it’s screwed up now, and I am a nervous wreck because I don’t know what to do! no one knows what to do and it looks very bizarre if I’m honest, but if oh well isn’t pretty much everything that happensto me more or less bizarre?
Due to this, I have no fricken idea when things will change, what I know though is that until things won’t change, my activity online(if any)will be severely limited. I am actually pretty surprised that my Braille-Sense is still brainy enough to get along with WordPress.
I can’t do much on it though, as the Web browser in it is really very simple and outdated, plus it’s not very comfortable to write lengthy posts on it because it freezes easily and the keyboard is slowly falling apart. Sheesh I can’t wait to get funding for a new one.
So as you see, until I’ll get back my laptop working, thisblog probably won’t be very active,I might only post small updates or (perhaps) question of the day posts, though with the latter it would be rather hard because I’ve planned some questions about music and I can’t add links to posts from here. And I will do my best to answer any comments, but that’s it for now. I’m happy though that I can post at least something from here, that changes things a bit.
So pleeease keep your fingers crossed, send prayers and positive thoughts my and my computer’s way, cus it’s awfully important for me to get it back, as you know I’m pretty much non functional, dependent and isolated without it in my daily life, and writing myself out is as essential for my wellbeing as food.
Have a nice rest of the weekend. 🙂
PS: Misha is very disappointed he couldn’t write his post yesterday so he sends Mishhugs and Mishpurrs to anyone who may need them and wants to say he tried to escape through the roof once again yesterday, but now promises to berave better. 😉
I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award by Carol Anne at
Thank you so much, Carol Anne, it means really a lot to me and it is hugely appreciated. 🙂
The rules are to answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you, post on your blog, nominate seven more and make up 11 new questions for them to answer.
Questions from Carol Anne:
1 who made you smile lately?
Zofijka, we always laugh from the silliest things. Even just her laugh makes me laugh.
2 what types of videos do you like to watch on youtube?
I watch a lot of videos about languages and language learning, Youtube is an important resource for me in learning languages. Also I watch Youtube channels about names, above all Tulip By Any Name, but also others. Sometimes I watch some Youtubers vlogging about their mental illness, I try to regularly watch bloggers I follow if they have their channels, also I listen to a lot of music on Youtube. And lots of videos in my target languages, about anything. Sometimes I may also watch good quality ASMR videos if I feel like it, but it’s rather rarely nowadays, I know my ASMR triggers myself well enough to be able to surround myself with the pleasant and relaxing sounds that just work for me, and ASMR videos most often don’t work, even though I definitely do have ASMR.
3 Do you like quotes?
I do. Particularly from my favourite books. I also like learning about proverbs in other languages or remember quotes to make my vocabulary wider.
4 Spring or summer and why?
Nowadays, rather spring. I hate too much heat and don’t tolerate it too well. For years I loved summer because it meant holidays so that I’d be at home, but now I don’t have to care about it.
5 What were you hoping for when you started your blog?
To find like-minded people, maybe some friends, get an outlet for my feelings and thoughts, have some support network, share my passions with others and maybe infect someone with any, challenge my English skills and develop them, and maybe other languages in future.
6 Hot or cold drinks and why?
Depends on the weather, I guess. Right now only cold. Icy!
7 Bath or shower and why?
I prefer taking baths, but my skin definitely prefers quick showers.
8 If you had a wish any wish what would it be?
Uh, very very tricky. Hm, maybe for my best friend to get back in touch with me? Maybe sounds a bit selfish, so at least I’d like to know why is he so silent for months now, no matter how serious or ridiculous the reason is, I much prefer to know it even if it’s terrible than to not know anything and not hear from him at all for months. and I wish I could do something about it and change things, whatever went wrong.
9 Kids or animals? Who are your favourite?
10 What are the qualities you like in a friend?
Similar sense of humour, intelligence, some similar interests, rather introversion than extraversion, creativity, good listening skills, sensitivity, loyalty.
11 What is the worst thing about your depression?
I guess the worst is when my energy is so low I can’t do just anything and it’s hard to even pretend you’re OK. I also hate it when I get overwhelmed by feelings and that expressing them is always so tricky for me.

9. What/who is your biggest inspiration?
10. Do you think you’re likeable? Why, or why not?
11. What is your favourite post on your blog?
Remember you’re not obliged to do an award post yourself, it’s just to let you know I appreciate you and your writing.
Thanks once again, Carol Anne. 🙂
Guys, I am just so excited today. ::)
Remember when I wrote that I came back to my idea that I would like to be a baby namer, and then I talked with my Mum about it, etc.? And then that I was writing to a few name experts asking them for some advice?
So I guess I also told you that only one lady responded to me – she is one of the founders of Nameberry – and she offered to me that I could write articles for their blog to get some more experience and visibility. So, quite obviously, I jumped on the chance and soon afterwards I wrote a little piece, about the most popular names in Poland right now.
And it’s up now on Nameberry.
I will republish it in the next post and share the link with you all, and also I ad love to get some feedback from you, and I’m curious which names of those you like the most. 🙂
Yay, finally I am doing something else besides being my Dad’s secretary. 😀 It’s cool and very helpful, but not very challenging, so yeah, I’m happy I can do something else now, even if it’s just a little thing, you always need to start somewhere, right?
As you may remember, a few days ago My Inner Mishmash turned six months. Therefore, I came up with the idea that I will host a meet and greet on my blog celebrating blogging milestones. Each of these meet and greets will be focused on a particular field, that is also a part of my blog and my life. Every time I will achieve a blogging milestone, I will make a meet and greet post dedicated to bloggers blogging about something particular, so that they can promote themselves a little bit and those who are interested in the topic may find some new interesting blogs to read. Some of the topics may be a little niche since many of my interests are.
This meet and greet is for mental health and mental illness bloggers. If you suffer from a mental illness, work in the mental health field or are interested in these topics and blog about it, please feel free to share your blog. Also those who aren’t mental health bloggers, but have written a post or a few on this, are welcome to share.
I hope it will be a nice way for us all to find some more blogs to read and that those of you guys who will share with us will gain some new readers. 🙂 Rules:
1. If you blog about mental health/mental illness, leave your blog link in the comments. If you aren’t a mental health blogger, but have a post(s) you wrote, regarding these topics and would like to share, feel free to do so and leave the link(s) as well. 2. Tell us as much as you feel like about yourself and your blog. 3. Reblog if you’d like, so that more people will know.
4. Visit some of other commenters’ blogs, read their posts, give them a follow, a like, or leave them a comment, just mingle a bit since that’s what it’s for, so that they know you visited and enjoyed. I hope you’ll have fun and I’m looking forward to read your blogs. 🙂
The time flies so fast… Today is six months since the first post on My Inner Mishmash. I can’t quite believe it! It definitely doesn’t feel like this!
I’m very happy I’m here, and that my safe space is here, and that finally, there is a place online I can really call mine, and safe. The idea that I could start a blog in another language seemed crazy to me, even for a while after I’ve already created this blog. But now I know it was the step in a definitely right direction. It feels so anyway. I also feel like it’s the most successful of my blogs in terms of reaching the audience. I don’t know how many readers, followers or commenters a typical six-month-blog gets and whether I am one of those or get more or less views, I do know though that none of my previous blogs had gotten as many people reading as this one, for various reasons, but mainly because I was blogging in quite niche places – our Polish blind communities online – where there was a slight chance anyone else could find me, other than the members of the community, unless I told them the URL, which really sucked, but a huge advantage of it was that everything was completely accessible. And with my previous WordPress blog, I failed completely at setting it up properly so that neither people could find me, nor I could actually write a single post without hours of torment, hassle, rage and frustration preceeding its publishing, because it was so unaccessible for me. If not the fact that a part of me is phlegmatic after my Dad, so I can be pretty determined and patient if I really want something, I’d surely not exist there for THREE years! 😀 I think that even if I paid someone to set up things for me and make it all polished technicaly, I wouldn’t get very many people to read my posts and certainly not 195 followers. ANd after all, I write partly for others here, because if I want to do it just for myself, I can do it in my diary. SO, yeah, I’m so very happy that my efforts aren’t pointless and that I seem to finally have settled somewhere.
I also hope that if you read my posts, you find something that can affect you in any positive way – I’d love to hear from you about how they affect you – and that you enjoy being a part of My Inner MishMash, regardless of how long you’re here.
I want to thank each one of you – those who follow my blog, read, like or comment my posts. I’m so happy you are here, and I hope you’re glad too. Particularly, I want to thank my regulars – thanks so so much to all of you for sticking with me and supporting me, it means A LOT to me, and it is hugely appreciated.
And, of course, Misha is very very grateful too for all his peep friends and pet friends, and for all his silent audience. He is so happy that some other beings finally treat him and his problems seriously.
…the truth… about both of my new blogging ideas. I don’t know yet whether I’ll bring them to life, particularly one of them, which hugely depends on whether you’ll like it, and that’s why I need your opinion.
The first one is a name game. I stole the idea from Behind The Name, where there are lots of different name games. While I’m generally not the best and not always inspired to create name games myself, I thought this one would be great to do with you. Though I need you to tell me before I’ll run it, whether you like it and whether you’d like to play it. I think it’ll be good to have at least 4 people playing. Here are some basic facts about the game.
It’s an adoption agency type of game and I would call it “Emisha’s Adoption Agency”. It’d be a very personalised name game, for all those who have any interest in names, but also those who don’t know much about names and aren’t particularly interested, but are interested and like children, are welcome. Those who don’t particularly love children in general are welcome too, it’s just an imaginary play, I myself am not very much into children either, apart from my sis, but I love helping people to name their kids. You’d have to make up a family – be it imaginative, or your own, or any family that you know, or just you – who want to adopt a child, or children. I will make a form that I will post here, and all you have to do is make a post replying on your blog – or do it in the comments – if you prefer. Just paste the form, fill it in with the information about the family, their preferences about the kid(s). Adoptions can be global, which imo makes it more fun namewise, the more that we’re all from different places.
Then, I will match your family with the kid(s) that suit them. So, I will name them, and will give you a bit of an info about their background. I will make a separate post on my blog for each player’s family, and pingback it to their post where they filled in the form, or if you filled it in the comments I will comment on one of your posts and notify you that I’ve matched your family. If there will be more people playing, it may take me some time to match the families, so please be patient.
Then the next thing is actually not obligatory, but very welcome, and it adds more fun to the game. You can make another post – or leave it on my blog in comments section, as you wish – about how your family is doing with a new member(s) and how the new one(s) is/are settling in. It depends on you how fast the time is passing in this game so you can write about them after two, five, or ten years, or as many as you wish, after the adoption. As I said this isn’t obligatory to do, but I’d love to hear about your family and how are they doing.
If you won’t particularly like the child(ren)’s name(s), if they’re babies or toddlers you can change it, that happens often in international adoptions as far as I know, but if they’re older, it may be a problem. Therefore, apart from the normal form, there will be an optional section, which you can fill with the names that you like, to give me some hints about your taste. I won’t use any of those names for your child(ren), but I will use them as inspirations to give them a name that you’ll like.
So that’s it, very briefly, I’m looking forward to hear whether you’d be up to playing it or not and if so, I think we can start it some time at the beginning of July. Also let me know if you have any questions, or suggestions about it.
And then there is my second idea, which is another series of posts, to accompany question of the day and song of the day. It would be weekly. I thought it would be good if I did something linguistic on my blog more regularly. And, with the help from some other people, I came up with the idea of a word of the week series. But, there wouldn’t be just English words. There would be words from any language in the world, even from those that I don’t speak and even from those that I’m not particularly interested in, although words from the languages that I know would probably dominate since most of the words I know and love are in these languages I knwo and love. There would be words that I like, love, that interest me or that sound funny to me, that annoy me or that I just hate, or that have anything else that makes them indifferent to me. I would add some info about them, like their usage, or definitions, or my associations, also the synesthetic ones, and how I feel about it, or whatever else would come to my mind about them. There are lots of new words that I come across every week and I think so is with everyone of us. Also words can be very inspiring, and I thought that maybe after the death of Daily Post and their word prompts, my weekly word choices could be an inspiration for someone else’s post. I need to think about it more and make it a bit more clear and concrete in my brain, and think how I could make these posts even more inspiring, because if you get a foreign word, it often may be hard to relate to it in any way, but that’s the basic idea of this series.
What do you think? Would you be interested? Do you have any thoughts about it? I am already always writing down the words from all the languages that appeal to me in any way, or that draw my attention either positively or negatively, but if I’m gonna do it on here, I think I need to know what’s my readers’ opinion about it. 🙂
So that’s it, looking forward to read your thoughts. 🙂

Is their a special place or process that helps you feel inspired to write?
I love to write at night. There’s something special about it. I feel like my mind is more open at night, more sensitive for some details I barely notice at the daytime, the perspective on things is different, plus it’s just quieter around. The only place that I write in nowadays is my room.
Whats the most outrageous thing you’ve done?
Drinking whisky at the age of 16 with my friends at night in the boarding school. There may be many outrageous things I’ve done at that time and I regret many of them but that one was fabulous!
What has made you laugh so hard ,you cried?
It was a bit silly thing. We were talking with my Mum about how it looks glaring when a wife is much taller then her husband and how it is sometimes funny. Then we talked about one couple we know who are like that and I wondered saying out loud something like how does this woman feel having such a “minihusband” and does it actually bother her at all. Because in my opinion it’s not that important in the grand scheme of things. And then my Mum said “Minihusband, it sounds so cool”. “Like a device, or a phone app” – I said. And then the discussion started, about an application designed for women who hate the male population and who still want someone, or something, to be there for them in any aspect of life they want. And it was a very long and fruitful discussion. How this app would imitate a man in many many different ways and aspects, if someone listened to it I think we’d be currently locked somewhere safe and lobotomised. Anyway, it started to be just so funny I couldn’t stop laughing and crying as well.
What is the most sentimental item you own?
Quite many things. But I think one of most sentimental ones would be my teddy bear Pimpuś.
Whats the best things you’ve done for others?
Hm I think those for whom I’ve done something would be able to answer this question more constructively, but what I always try to do for people I care about is to help them in any way I can, when they need it.
1. What is the book that has shaped you the most?
2. What is something you’d like to do, but are afraid of doing?
3. What’s the weirdest thing about you?
4. Do you have a song that always makes you cry?
5. What’s your biggest strength?
The Liebster is an award that is given to bloggers by other bloggers. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

Today, doing my Welsh lesson, when I declared that I would like to eat someone, instead of something.
what song would you dedicate to someone that you don’t care for?
If I don’t care for them, then it could be whatever that doesn’t have any special meaning for me.
what’s the first book you ever loved?
“The Six Bullerby Children” by Astrid Lindgren.
which of your posts would you love to share? post link here.
What was the worse holiday you ever had and why?

Questions from Carol Anne
1 what is the longest you’ve gone without sleep?
Completely without sleep it would be around 72 hours when I was 10.
2 do you like icecream?
Sure, but it also depends what kind of ice cream it is.
3 what is your favourite type of food?
Oooh lots of things. But to narrow it down possibly I’ll say lots of spicy, salty, and sweet things – but maybe not together lol – Italian, Mexican, Indian, French and Moroccan food.
4 are you a fast reader?
Yeah, too fast I guess. 😀 I wish I could just relish a book, but it always goes by so quickly.
5 what is your favourite kinda weather?
I like when it’s warm, but not too hot. And I have nothing against reasonable amounts of rain. I love ice! I’ve been obsessively fascinated with ice since early childhood, don’t ask me why, I have no idea.
6 do you have netflix?
Not I myself, but my Mum does and sometimes we watch stuff, but rather rarely.
7 are you glad to have th e internet or could you do without it?
Without the Internet? Is it possible? :O Quite shocking. But pointless. 😀 Well at least I can’t imagine how I could do without the Internet.
8 do you own an amazon echo?
9 where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Ugh, I’ve had so many ideas over the last three years. But I still have no clear and realistic idea. And no matter how much I think about it and whether it’s 5 or 10 years it feels always very scary to think about it.
10 do you have a best friend?
Complicated thing. Practically I don’t think I could say that I’ve ever had one, although nowadays I have many good friends online, not sure though whether I can call any of them my best friends or whether they would like it.There was one guy whom I still consider my friend and thought he’s my best friend for a long time, but now I really don’t know what to think about it since he seems like he doesn’t want to keep in touch with me any longer. I didn’t want to pressure anything on him as I’ve known very well what it means to have an intrusive and clingy friend so didn’t want to appear this way to him, but when he didn’t even answer when I sent him Christmas wishes I had no other choice than to realise that for some reason he doesn’t want us to be friends anymore, and I respect it, although some part of me still believes it is just a horrible mistake or something and he will get back to me, even though soon it will be a year since we last talked. 😀
11 what is your favourite personality trait in your friends?
There are many personality traits I like/appreciate/admire/value in people and would like to see them in my friends. Like sense of humour, intelligence, sensitivity, and all those traits that generally a good friend should have
This time, I’m not going to nominate anyone, although if you’d like to be nominated, just consider yourself nominated and you can make a post and answer my questions which are here.
1. Do you have any song/book or any other piece of art which speaks to you so much that you have an impression it’s especially for you, or about you? What is it, and why?
2. When you think about the word comfy, what association comes first to your mind?
3. If you could be a mythical character, be it a god/goddess or any other creature, from any mythology, who would you be and why?
4. Which crisps/potato chips flavour is your favourite?
5. DO you have any favourite English accent/dialect?
6. What is your most favourite sound?
7. What MBTI personality type are you?
8. If you had to change your name, but keep your initials, how would you name yourself?
9. What personality trait do you like the most in yourself?
10. Is there any famous person you’d like to be friends with? Why?
11. Are you a heavy sleeper?

There’s no such thing as aging, but maturing and knowledge. It’s beautiful, I call that beauty.

I have a question for you guys.
Recently I’ve been thinking a lot on adding something new to my blog and thought I could d something related to names. I’ve done a few name games in the past and wrote that post a few days ago about names and people’s personalities, and now I’m wondering what could it be and in what form. ANother series maybe? If series then it would appear weekly I think.
I absolutely love name games myself and I have a feeling that you enjoyed them too, particularly the first one I guess, but I’m not big at making them, unless I really have an inspiration, but usually I don’t have. Those two I’ve done in the past were actually based on patterns of other games as I told you. So name games could be a nice thing, but I just don’t think I could be systematic with it.
I also thought about some kind of more educational series where I’d pick one name and post its meaning, etymology, rankings and stuff, but am not sure whether there’s really a point in doing it, there are already a few blogs on WP about it.
Relating to the post about names and personalities I also thought about writing posts about particular names and traits they give people, or making such posts for your request.
Does any of these ideas appeal to you? Have you any suggestions as for how it could look like? Or maybe you have any other ideas about name posts I coul d make? Do you think there is a point in doing any kind of regular name posts or is it too niche?
Will be grateful for any suggestions cause I’d like it to be fun for you or something people will be interested in. 🙂
So today I’m going to Bydgoszcz to the school for the blind wher I am taking my finals, to take the last two of them. I can’t sleep again, although it’s almost 1 AM and we have to wake up at 4 AM, so I thought I’d schedule some posts for you and I’ve just done it. I’ll be off for three days. That sucks because I’ll have one day off exams in between and it doesn’t seem to be a very nice perspective to traipse around the city for so long, but I know it’s reasonable because there’s no point in going there today, coming back and then going back there on Thursday. I am so grateful for my Dad that he took another few days off work and will be there with us, otherwise things would be, well, poor. I’d have to repay it for him in some way, have no idea what to do though.
Anyway, I’ve scheduled three song of the day posts for those three days, I hope you’ll enjoy them.
OK, so I think I’ll try to fall asleep once again, it definitely won’t help me in the morning if I’ll be a Zombie.
