Question of the day.

How would you like to die? 🙂

My answer:

I’ve always thought that I’d like to die while sleeping, but also at the same time that I would know some time in advance that it’ll happen so I can prepare myself accordingly, especially spiritually. I know it happens for some people but I don’t really know how common or likely it is. In any case, I wouldn’t like to live too long, at this point I feel that even if I lived up to like 50 I’d feel dreadfully tired of living by that point. And whether I would die knowing about it in advance or not, I’d like to be prepared for it anyway, so that I could feel satisfied that I’ll be happy in my eternal life and wouldn’t regret too many things.

How about you? 🙂

  1. I used to think the same as you but now that I am past 50 I feel like I would like to live forever but if not, I would also like to die in my sleep. Now I really want to stay around for my 16 year old daughter and hopefully be there to help her through life.

  2. I really don’t know. Honestly, the idea of dying in my sleep used to be the least unappealing to me, but now I’m not so sure. More recently, I’ve often imagined dying in my husband’s arms.

    1. It sounds very safe to die in the arms of someone you love and who loves you, but on the other hand I’ve never wanted to die with someone else around, as I feel like that would only contribute to unnecessary drama around it.

    1. Wow, I guess wanting a sudden death is not a very popular opinion, but it does make sense as this way I guess it feels less scary when you don’t know that it’s about to happen, and dying is more of a quick, single event rather than some painful process that would keep dragging.

  3. Great question! I want to be burned at the stake so that my example of ending physical abuse/punishment about kids will live on forevermore. That doesn’t sound too intense, does it? 😀 I fancy myself a martyr.
