Hey people! 🙂
Let’s talk languages for a while. Simple question for now:
What’s your native language?
My answer:
As most of you on here surely know, my native language is Polish. My Dad is Kashub and can also speak Kashubian but I only know little bits and pieces of it and can’t understand anything substantial if someone speaks really fluently and fast, also I don’t really identify myself strongly with Kashubian. But I do love Polish to bits and I’m so glad that it’s my native language. It’s cool, beautiful, and a great language to start out with if you want to learn difficult languages. 😀
You? 🙂

Dutch. I don’t really like it as my native language, but oh well.

Oh well… I do like it a lot, and I can’t understand why so many people, even natives, do not. 😀

Mine is rather dull, English.

It may be awfully ubiquitous but it’s certainly not dull.

I speak “Utah” English which is an offshoot of American English which is an offshoot of the “Queen’s English” born in Britain. Yeah. It can be complicated speaking English. LOL

Haha, I think that’s one of the reasons why I like it.

Good old American English. I’m so glad!! Everyone in the world speaks it, and I’m terrible at learning other languages!!

I think for the English speakers it’s unfair that the whole world speaks English because they don’t get to learn other languages. 😛 But personally I’m also glad that it’s English and not Esperanto or something like this, English sounds much better.
