What fictional character does everyone else love, but you despise?
My answer:
I can’t think at the moment about a particular example that I would really really despise but there are a lot of fictional characters that people seem to like and to be oohing and aahing about while I find them boring at the very best. I think what first comes to mind is the Twilight series and especially the two main characters who are so dull and cliche.

Haha, oh no, I don’t hate people who love Twilight! I know a lot of people who love Twilight and many of them are really cool.

What a fun question!
I hate Daphne from Frasier. But she’s not typically well-loved, though. She is, however, not disliked; and I certainly hate her. I commented on a FB post from the Frasier page about why I hate her, and I got lynched. People were like, “Whaaaaat?” Yeah, so, I’m not entitled to my opinion! (Don’t mind me. I’m hormonal and a total grumpypants today!)
I can’t think of anyone else, but it’s an interesting question!!

Snow White. Example of a woman being a servant to men even if they are lovable dwarfs. Not a lesson I want my daughter to learn, nor is chasing after this Prince Charming bit.
And I guess I will jump on the Bella/Twilight bandwagon as she was sooo lackluster and boring. But I chalked it up more to teen angst than being a bad character.

I never had any problem with Snow White and never looked at it this way, but I like the way you see it, haha! I love fairytales, but there’s something wrong with so many of them. Or rather, there’s something wrong with our society that we feed our children with them as if they were seriously for children. Originally they were not, and the fact that there are all those princesses and princes and beautiful castles and magical things doesn’t make them necessarily suitable for kids. I always hated Cinderella’s father, for example. I mean, what a chicken the man must have been to let his wife bully his own daughter like that and not stand up for her, despite he apparently loved her?
