Question of the day.

Hey guys. 🙂

What, if anything, have you ever re-gifted?

My answer:

I’m sure I’ve re-gifted lots of things, though I don’t remember anything particularly specific. When I was a kid my more extended family often felt pressured to give me some presents for birthdays or such, while they didn’t really know me well, so I often got lots of jewellery or cosmetics that were totally not my style, I’ve even got three pair of earrings from my grandma even though I don’t have pierced ears, so I think it would be mostly those kinds of things that I’ve re-gifted.

You? 🙂

    1. Well yeah it’s not something that can come to mind instantly I guess, I’m sure it’s been a while since the last time I re-gifted anything so as I said I can’t think of anything in details either.

  1. I can’t think of anything! Hmm….. I’ve had a lot of gifts regifted to me. Like, if my mom gets something for Christmas she doesn’t think she’ll use, she’ll let me have it! I think we have a few microwavable tea mugs that she gave me!

Oh my gosh. I can totally relate to your childhood of getting cosmetics, and with no pierced ears! In my case, it was dolls. Everyone got me dolls. They went on display on this huge piece of furniture that had shelves on its upper half (with door and drawer storage beneath). Always new dolls! I hated dolls. I couldn’t think of a polite way to say as much. I loved stuffed animals. I didn’t get enough of those, but I still have my vintage Care Bears from the mid-80s, and they’re so groovy! I have, in order, a pink one, an orange one, a yellow one, a green one, a blue one, a purple one, and a brown one. I MIGHT have borrowed the brown one from my brother without asking his permission first! 😀 He never asked for it back! I love how rainbowy they are!!

    1. Haha, I had the same problem with dolls as well. I never hated them but just didn’t find them as interesting as other things, I preferred figurines, and stuffed animals as well, and played with things like glass balls for example. But, unlike with cosmetics and jewellery, it sank in in people’s minds earlier that they’d actually never seen me playing with a doll so it stopped relatively early on. 😀
