Question of the day.

What is your favourite snack food, healthy and sweet?

My answer:

For healthy, I like most of fruit. As for sweet and unhealthy, I like a lot of things just as I dislike a lot of things but I think the best and simplest I guess is just a bit of good quality milk chocolate.

  1. Chilled canned pineapple rings. Or celery sticks dipped in peanut butter. Ok, not exactly the height of healthy food but it’s better than Doritos! Lol.

    1. Yes, certainly healthier than Doritos (I love Doritos! ๐Ÿ˜€ ), and if you have a good peanut butter I think it’s a really good and healthy snack idea, though I’m not as much of a lifestyle and nutrition geek as my Mum so maybe it’s not as healthy as I’d think. I really like the pineapple rings. I’ve always eaten cellery with a spicy dip based on Greek yoghurt but I’ll have to try it out with peanut butter. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Oh and that canned spray cheese, while unhealthy, is great on celery too.
I still have a bag of nacho cheese Doritos from time to time. It’s like a warm hug from my childhood when my mom would tell me to scrub my fangs and get that nasty smell off me before she’d give me a goodnight kiss. Good times.

    2. I enjoy eggs with my celery. Or else a small spice.

Yay for tzatiki – just about every dip seems to go with celery.

I am thinking of taramsalata in particular or hummus or even CHEESE.

  2. Healthy: cucumber and carrot and any vegetable which begins with C.
Sweet: honeycomb [chocolate and ice cream] and gelato [whether of the fruity or creamy sort].
