What was the first book you remember reading?
My answer:
I guess I did a post on that in the past myself, don’t know if it was as a part of question of the day series, so rather than writing the whole story again, I’ll just simply say that it was “God And The Mouse” by Angela Toigo. Very boring, and too short for my reading skills haha, read it in one afternoon.
What was yours? π
I can’t remember that far back!

I probably only remember mine because it was so very boring. π

Uh… Oh! Well, it’s not a book, but my parents taught me to read with Highlights magazines.

Robinson Crusoe was the first real book I read, I was about 7 and started travelling 10 years later, so what does that say ππ

Wow that’s great! And quite an ambitious read for the first one I think. π

Yes, I was fascinated by the books I was given as a child in comparison to what children read today. I recently reread Wuthering Heights which was a present to me in 1964. I was 7 lol

That’s impressive, and indeed especially compared with what children tend to read currently! For most of them it seems to only be what they are forced to read at school and nothing more which is very sad.

And it doesnβt help when parents sit them in front of a tablet at bedtime to watch Frozen or something instead of reading to them, haha, you reap what you sow, glad I wonβt be around to see it ππ
