Question of the day.

Do you ever use the self-checkout whe you go grocery shopping? Do you use your own bags?

My answer:

As for the self-checkout, it really depends. We have a few small grocery stores in my area, and in most of them there is no self-checkout. If there is any or if we grocery shop in a bigger store, we usually use it, but it’s not a rule or anything.

As for the bags, no, we don’t use our own for groceries.

How about you? šŸ™‚

  1. I prefer to use the checkout peeps, because it’s easier. I hate queuing, so I always check on the queue lengths first and sometimes decide to do the ‘unexpected item in the bagging area’ thing. Almost always use my own bags, just very occasionally forget.

    1. Well I hate queuing a lot as well, although am a little bit surprised you do too since as far as I know you’re a Brit and I’ve heard a lot of times that the Brits like queuing. šŸ˜€ I could never quite believe it and glad it’s not true, at least for you.

  2. The British hate queuing, but instead of being open about it, we just seethe inside, are good at hiding our feelings and like to demonstrate that we can follow the rules. I’m just more open about it. It’s the queues for the self-service checkouts that really get me, I’ve been known to dump my shopping and walked out in the past. I did however survive an eleven hour queue once!
